Paris Hilton out of jail after 3 days

Paris was reported as being released after serving just three days of her 23 day sentence for medical reasons. the LA county sheriff's office did not give details of her medical condition citing privacy. She will now merely be confined to her (posh) home for 40 days. What kind of deterrence and punishment is that? None at all! what medical conditions? the public deserves to know. other inmates who have medical conditions are treated in jail, but still jailed, I believe. another fact that irks me is that she turned up on the red carpet for the MTV music awards the same day she was due to report to jail. What kind of remorse is she showing if she can still dress up and join in the glitzy party the day she should be jailed?

It is rather ridiculous and I think the judge got the idea after all the back lash and comments from the general public. Here is a part of the story and a link to it. Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home. “It’s not right!” shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. “Mom!” she cried out to her mother. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19102663/?gt1=10056

I agree. What kind of punishment is it to be confined to a mansion with all kinds of toys? That is like sending a child to his room where he has Nintendo, Playstation, a computer and so many other toys to keep him occupied. He doesn't even have time to realize he is being punished. If you are going to send a rich spoiled brat to their room for punishment, take away all the toys so he can think about what he did wrong. Make it unpleasant so he won't misbehave again.

Really...if shes in her house for 40 days how is that punishment? She has access to shopping, and people can still visit her, wheres the punishment? As far as I can see there really isnt one

i saw footage of paris crying in the back of a squad car in 360...hmmm really, i'm speechless. she should serve the full time and not get any special considerations. other celebs have gone past this without the kind of hoopla she's getting.

Paris Hilton is making a mockery of our judicial system. she is a childish little brat who gets what she wants. It is not fair to the others who have commited lesser crimes. Her main objective is to headline and nothing else. I think the judicial system should be overhauled or crime will go rampant! Peace!

i feel sad for her, first she was being cheered that she would go to jail when she was at the mtv awards (she was suppose to be on stage, but because of the crowd, she decided to go to jail and serve her time already), then her sentence was shortened and then turned into a house arrest (which for sure made her a bit happier), finally going back to jail and serving 40 more days??? thast just b.s. for her. its o fair at all.

i may be wrong, but to turn up at the MTV awards just before being due for jailtime is a snub of her nose at the judiciary system. Would one's mother allow one to go for a midnight clubbing party just before being grounded for 2 weeks? I think not...
