students like us have problems as well.. Some of us TRY to REALLY study but it's just that, there are certain things we have problems about and we just can't find the people who will understand us, and this is why our sudies get affected.. I know lots of students who fail not because they do not study, it's because they have other dreams in life to pursue but they aren't supported by their families..

I can totally relate...
I study all the time and try my best to do good in school, but sometimes I still fail. its not like I like failing. Who the hell wants to fail, right? I wish they'd put theirselves in our situation sometimes. So that they can see how hard it is.

I see you are a student (in high school?) and you just joined us. Welcome onboard. I hope you enjoy the experience here and get some help as well to your queries.
With all the distractions faced by youngsters nowadays, it does pose a greater challenge for students to do well in school. The school environment of yesteryears is quite different. There is nothing much to distract students from concentrating on studies then. You have to do some soul searching, and ask yourself if you are really serious about wanting to do well in your studies to begin with. Are you putting aside any distractions you may have, and really trying hard in your studies to achieve good results? Of course not everyone who tries will do well. It depends on factors such as motivation, intellectual ability, resourcefulness, industry, etc.
If you have the aim and motivation, but have problems understanding lessons, then perhaps you can form study groups with friends who can help you. You can consult each other to seek clarifications when you cannot understand a topic well. Friends can encourage and spur each other on. You can also consult your teachers for help. My wife is a teacher, and students occasionally come to her for guidance and advice. Students often ask for extra lessons to sharpen their knowledge, and I know she is very glad to help those who show interest. Teachers are like a mentors. They are there to guide students, so students should tap on them whenever help is needed. Sometimes, you may not know what to concentrate on in learning a subject. Again a teacher is there to point you to the right direction. Their advice can be very valuable. Have you used such channels to get help in your studies? If you have not, then I encourage you to do so.
If you do the above, there is a good chance you can achieve some good results, and make everyone proud of you.

Becausing passing is not so tough or you can say impossible. But its true sometimes due to competition and lack of proper guides good students fail too.

I certainly agrre with you on the fact that many students wanted to study but because of many other problems, which may be student related or family related or community related. What the parents&friends should do is encourage them and make them understand that they are not less than anyone else.Dont ever discourage them. They may be really good at something else.Find out those talents and try to bring those talents well nourished in them.

that is so right... every one of us is good at one thing or another.. that is why we have families and friends, to encourage us and bring out the best in us, and not to be the first ones to bring us down..

Hmmm.. I experience the same situation before. But I have learned to love my course after two years. I am now in third year college and I really enjoy my major subject. I guess, we should really must not keep on blaming others about the causes of our failures. Instead, we should work hard for ourselves and not for other things. It just takes a lot of determination to do that and most especially, to reach your goal.

Well i am student myself i do understand what you meant. Ex. My bro gets good marks but i dont. But if you go by knowledge i think i can beat him anyday. The point is we never differntiate situations and the way one is to be thought. I can online study when i understand many of my friends can just learn it and thats the end of it. It really depends on no. of factors.
