Hi. that number represents your popularity in the mylot community. Evey post that we do is being rated by other mylotters (if you notice the +, - sign at right. If you have a 9, that means you are doing good because 10 is the highest rating. So you should rate others' posts and comments too so that you will be rated in return. Cheers!

Heelo ranikrishnan! You have a nine, that is very good for a rating. But the rating is not so important. It is what other mylotters think of your posts. Many gave you a positive rating. You really can be happy about it. The highest possible rating is a ten.

It is the way people rate you, supposedly they rate the quality of your discussion and not if they agree with your opinion. But that is not always the way it works, many people get angry about your opinion then just go rating all of your answers negative.
One would think they would write suffer to detect and prevent this sort of thing..but I guess they got bigger fish to fry.
