OK, so we all have a favourite indulgent food, which we just LOVE to eat, even though we know it's calorific! So what's your fave foody treat? Is it warm fresh fruit pie with ice-cream? Is it chocolate brownies fresh from the oven? Perhaps you're a doughnut-muncher! Share your guilty foody secrets with the mylot crew - I promise I won't tell your nutritionist :-)

You know, I happen to have brownies just fresh out of the oven right now. So freshly out of the oven that they're still too hot to cut/eat. That's one favorite snack. Almost anything chocolate is a good snack. I'd have to say Caramel Nestle Treasures would probably be my absolute favorite. Oh, I wish I had caramel sauce to put on my brownies.

Oh, I bet if I tried to make the caramel sauce, I'd screw it up somehow. Better to just buy some. Plus, I'm lazy. LOL And I don't like nuts in my brownies. Blech. To each her own, though, right? :)

lol, since i have no nutritionist,i can share it without difficulty. my favorite is peanut,i always have a packet of roasted peanuts when watching tv,my mom said if i keep eating like that,i will be as fat as a potato.lol, when mentioning potato,i like potato chips as well,i like the crisp sound. now in order to keep slim,i seldom eat them except weekends,i am wondering why i always like those high-engery food?

Peanuts are addictive aren't they! I think it's partly because they have so much protein, and that roasted flavour, but also the salt! As I believe the weather where you live is often quite hot, it's probably the case that your body craves salt more, because you use more of it more quickly through your skin. A friend of my grandparents used to work at a swimming pool, and his doctor told him to take salt tablets, because he was in a hot environment every day, so perhaps that's also why you love peanuts and potato chips (we call them crisps in the UK). The high-energy aspect is probably because your body enjoys the boost of energy you get with these snacks - also the fact that they taste good and are crunchy!! Do you like other nuts too? Because I found out recently that almonds are very healthy, not that fattening, and can help to reduce cholesterol too! So if you like those, you could eat as many as you like and your mother wouldn't be able to grumble :-)

I'm quite indulgent right across my diet. If I want something enough I'll just eat it - no guilt here! If there's one thing I can't resist, though. One thing that I'll stuff down - even though I'm full from dinner. It's cheesecake! I like most types, but my grandma makes her own with marshmallows melted into the cheese and (incidentally) cherry pie filling on top. Oh, you got me hungry for it now! I'll have to call grandma and put in an order!

Cheesecake - the non-baked type - Yummmmm!
LOL - cheesecake is yummy! Does your grandma make the baked kind, or the type with biscuit base, cream/cream-cheese/sugar middle, and fruit on top? I think both are great with a great big mug of hot strong coffee...

Okay, I have to admit, people think my favorite snack is a bit odd. I indulge on this snack when I'm feeling down, stressed or am craving something that isn't usually in the house . . . Sour cream and onion chips with a Kit Kat bar. ::smiles:: I take a bite of one and after I'm done with that bite, I take a bite of the other. It perfectly satisfies my craving for salt and sugar.

Interesting combo there - often sweet and savoury go well together! When I was a teenager, I used to make myself sandwiches with smoked turkey and loads of cottage cheese with pineapple. For some reason, the flavours went really well on a big granary cob. I must say though, if I were you I'd pick a different chocolate bar to a kit-kat. I discovered a few years ago that one of the ingredients they use are a by-product of nuclear fission! I did check it out too, and although it may be deemed as safe by the authorities, I still don't feel comfortable about eating them...
