Do you enjoy listening to musics loudly using your Hi-Fi/headphones??

'When i am catching the train everyday,i always see some young teenagers listening to music loudly with their headphones on,it seems that they enjoy much as their bodies are moving with the ryhthms of the musics.I can even know what songs they are listening clearly,so you can imagine how high the volumes are.I think listening to music should be relaxing, but those noisy musics are just harsh to my ears.I prefer not to use the headphones anytime. Do you turn to a high volume using your Hi-Fi at home? Do you enjoyed or annoyed when the volume is high? Do you have neighbours like to switch on their Hi-Fi everyday? Do you find it disturbing? Do you complain to them? Or do you use headphone listening to music all the time?? when you are on the bus or train? Or even when you are sleeping? If you have children,do your children like using the headphones? It seems that this new generation always like to have their Ipod on their hands and listen to music at the same time. As i know,if someone have ben using headphones for long time, their ears will be much affected,so have you tried to control usages of headphones of your kids? Do shares your thoughts:)

you are right that this practice can hurt our ears. it is a practice which must be put to a stop. whenever we are using these headphones, it is best that we keep the volume at its lowest.

I used headphones when I was a student, but never turn the volume high. Even at loud speakers,I prefer a mild sound, only than I can clearly enjoy the music rhythms and lyrics.

oh anna! i just hate loud music, that becomes noise, iguess. i hardly use head phones, only when i am travelling and i need to spend my time without bothering others. generally, i listen with normal speakers on. i donot like it loud, it should be gentile. i remember, recently i went to a band concert and i came out before it actually ended. the loud music war tearing my tympanic membrane and could not get to the core, the lyrics could not be deciphered atall!! may be i am bit of old school, but i am like that and donot want to change. smiles......

True,i also feel the musics may be too loud in the concert, but it seems that some people like to listen to the rock music extremely loud in their backyard which their neighbors can also listen clearly.

I sometimes use headphones, but not real loud. I don't use an ipod. I could never find enough good songs to fill it up...lol. The neighbors are not loud. Sometimes I play music louder than normal. That is because I might want something energetic and forceful.

Yes, when playing songs I like. Those might be songs from the 1960's to the 2000's and be rock, country, pop or alternative.

i do use them sometimes-partially because some members of the household don't like my music, and partially so i can listen while they're sleeping. my neighbors generally don't blast music, unless they're having a cookout or something.i just ignore it for the most part, they don't do it often.i can tolerate it one night..

True,it may be fine if they do it once a while but it will be different if they do it during the weekdays, some people may have to wake up in the early morning, they need to sleep early.

When i was a teen, the loud music made me excited, made me to feel cool, gave a lot of adrenaline and etc. Now i am listening music on my computer and use my headphones. So the sound is not too loud...or i will feel a headache very soon.

At home I usually turn the volume quite high while listening to my favourite numbers.I used to keep the vlume of my headphone high too.But not now.while on my evening or morning walks i used to be totally deaf to the sounds around me,or, if someone was calling me.So practically i found it better to the volume of my headphones low.

It is very dangerous to have headphones on when you are crossing the roads, some drivers may honk the horn at that time and you may not be able to hear it.

I try avoiding headphones whenever I can..! My mom never baught me a walkman to avoid headphones. And even I hate using headphones!! they give me head aches. I'd rather carry a big music system in my hand rater than using the headphones. But that will disturb the surrounding people!! So will go with no music at all. I can "survive" without music after all. Use of headphones can increase the amount of fungus in our ears almost 700 times!! Thats scares me a lot!!

Music is good to health. Thats really true. But it also depends on how your hear the music. Listening to music at a very high sound, will definitely damage your hearing. Listen to music very midly, and you will surely enjoy it. Few songs will be good only when you hear them loudly, but dont make it a habit of hear the songs at a loud volume. You will be disturbing yourself and others when you hear music aloud. So, please be aware and beware.

You are correct. Now a days with almost all teh new cellphone models also has in build music system adn FM radio, many youngsters are constantly hooked to their gadget for listening music, and they play it loudly also with their ear phones.. One thing is while travelling in a public transport system and all, you get to notice many things about life around you, get to interact with people.. All this will be missed if you are always into hearign music. Also constantly hearign music in loud volumes is also not good I think.

Loud and concentrated indeed will affect your ears in a bad way. They were not designed to be used so much and for so long as to impact hearing. There should be warning labels on them unfortunately. I have told my children that they should learn sign language since most adults will be deaf or nearly so when they grow up. They do not use those earphones so will have the advantage. I hope you have not done this damage to your ears.

I must say that when i listen to music through speakers or through headphones then I am more likely to have it turned up loud because I really like to emerse myself in the music, otherwise it just becomes a background sound that you dip in and out of. THing is you have to be careful because you can damage your hearing, but equally you have to enjoy the music otherwise there is little point in listening.

I do like to listen to music using the headphone of my cellphone however, I prefer to turn it low. I get irritated when the sound becomes disturbing or too jarring. If such sound can be heard by another person then it is too loud and could actually hurt ones ears. I also have neightbors who turns thier music volume very loudly but it actually never bothers me because most of the time its just karaoke and we filipinos love karaoke.

my cellphone comes with airphones and im not even using it. i dont like using it, although there are times that i need to use it, but i make sure that the volume is not so loud for me to hear what everyone is saying around me. at work, specially in the afternoon, since were not getting much calls, we just stay idly in our stations watching movie or listening to radio blog website and i have this officemate whose using airphones and we can even hear the music few distance away. then whats annoying is that, she shouts when she is talking to us! we kept telling her to lowe rhe volume, but she always tell us that she likes it that way! so we tell her to not shout when talking or better dont talk when she is using the airphone! lolz!

Sometimes I love to listened to music with my fm radio and it's not to high only household can hear inside the house, but if it's new year I turn it on to the max volume coz it's nice to have some music if it's party time. I don't like too much high volume and I have these one of my neighbor that I'm very annoyed even tv when he watch is very loud. I seldom used headphones only if I have to turn off the sound of my computer coz my daughters are sleep.

Hi easy! I experienced that too, i can never imagine how they take that loud sound on their ears, maybe if that loud sound is on my ears my migraine will attact me, but i do love playing loud sound of music in my house but not rock music, i play love songs, country songs and other dance mix music, mellow music only, but not everyday only for weekends sometime. I dont allow my son to use headphones the radiation might affect the brain of my son if he use that most often. But he loves music to, cant sleep without music at all..
