Do you have white hair? Do you color your hair to hide it?

I have white hair. I guess i inherited it with my both parents. As early as my teenage years, white hair starts to show. I would color my hair once in a while, Im afraid that the coloring might damage my hair. Maybe 10 years from now my entire hair will soon be white. How can we avoid it? Do you have white hair problems too? Did the hair color damaged your hair?

I would have a headful of gray hair if I didn't color it and I am only 43! I refuse to go gray this early in life. I color my hair every 4-6 weeks. It hasn't done any damage to my hair.

I use many different brands. I think this is why my hair doesn't dry out because I keep switching. I don't use the ones that are really cheap because they tend to wash out very quickly. I like Loreal, Garnier and brands like that.

I dont have any white or gray hairs yet but I do color my hair when I get tired of it and my hair is still as strong and vibrant as if I never touched it at all. I am currently letting the black grow out of my hair. Luckily my hair is dark brown so it dosnt show that much.
When my hair starts going gray or white I am hoping it is going to be that nice silver gray, or else I am going to color it. LOL I am joking I dont know what I am going to do when my hair starts to turn white/gray I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I've started to get a few strands of silver (I call them silver because it sounds nice :) ) hair that I have noticed. I am much more inclined to just pluck them out rather than trying to dye all of my hair. I had dyed hair for quite a while, and got tired of re-dyeing it or waiting for the color to grow out.

I don't know if it's gray or white but I have it. At my age it was inevitable. I've been dyeing my hair for years but it's so long now and takes like 3 bottles to do it that I'm thinking of letting it go natural now. The only problem with that is that I'm not completely white so I'll have to see how it's going to look. Yes, coloring your hair does damage it and you should try to take good care of it while your doing it.

The whole personality of the person depends on the hair that- is what i believe.I don't know whether it is white or gray hair.I just have very few strands of gray hair. I don't colour them. I have seen my mother using colour & she has spoiled her hair. Long hair are difficult to manage than short hair.I have small hair as compared to my mother. It is the individual chioce that matters, one of my aunt has whole gray hair, she does'nt put any dy e & still she looks very elegant

Really? elegant having gray hair. Maybe her haircut is nice that it compliments her gray hair :) I have long wavy hair. To hide my "silver strands" I would always tie my hair up. Im planning to get a haircut soon but as for the coloring Im still thinking about it :)

i don't have white hairs so far at the age of 28. or maybe, i was just lucky not to. anyway, it's not in our blood to have white hairs in an early age.
my mother and father have white hairs already due to age. but they don't color it. they say, it's not necessary and it's itchy. so, if i have time, i pull them off and they love it. in fact, they always fall asleep whenever i do it for them.
i guess hair color for you won't damage your hair if you don't do it much often. i have friends having the same problem as you. but most of them don't color them even if it makes them look older. they just don't like the idea of coloring hair at all... anne

I have lots of gray hairs. I'm only 30 and if this continues then 75% of my hair will be gray before I turn 50. Well I guess it's natural and I don't want to dye my hair...I just want to keep the way it looks. Natural looks the best for me for now.

No, I do not have white hair myself, and I don't usually color my hair either.
From what I understand early graying hair is genetic.
WHen I first met my husband, he was still in his teens, he already had some white hair. He is just over 40 now and all his hair is gray.
He's fine with it, and so am I. I actually think it looks great on him:) I don't think I would be able to convince him to color his hair for anything in the world LOL But then again I never tried either :)

My mom didn't have grey hair until she was almost on her sixties. My dad is over seventy and still has some dark hair. SO I am guessing it will take a bit until I have gray hair too :)
Now on my husband's family everyone has gray hair and really early too so I wasn't surprised when I started getting gray so early.

I don't have white hair yet, I think. I say I think because I have dyed my hair all the time since I was about 13 years old. I love dying my hair and change it to suit my mood at the time. I've been every colour you can imagine and even done streaks and different colour combinations. I love changing my hair. I have even gone white once when I was 17 years old, people thought it was cool because it was bright shocking white.
As I get older, I think that I will accept the white hair and let it go naturally... But who knows maybe I will change my mind and keep dying it and expressing my personality that way.
I don't think that getting white hair as you get old is a bad thing. Or getting white hair when you are young is not bad either.
