I completely agree with you. Dhoni is not performing well in keeping from a long time and his batting record outside subcontinent is awful and need to be improved much more. On the other hand dinesh kartik is showing courage even when he came for opening the matches. As far as keeping is concerned, dinesh kartik seems a good option compared to dhoni. Overnight heroes like dhoni might have do more work to keep his place for a long time if he was in a highly professional team like Australia.

I agree with you. Dinesh Kartik is solid in technic, more composed and couragious than Dhoni. Besides, Kartik has not got enough chances like Dhoni.With limited chances ,he showed his class not only as a batsman but also as a sharp fielder and a reliable Wicketkeeper.Dhoni relies on luck but Kartik relies on his own ability.

Both have different styles of playing.Now Indian team need both of them.I think dhoni's aggerssive and Karthick's stability should lift to much better position in the future indian cricket.Nowadays Karthick proves his batting performance and need to improve his fielding.Dhoni should bat in No.3 position with aggerssive.

I would still go for Dhoni only.I agreed that Dinesh is a great batsman but not a blasting one like Dhoni is.Dhoni is superb with his bat and is maintaining his position with in the first 5 top batsman in the world.His keeping is decent.I will never say its bad.I agreed tha Karthik's bkeeping is good but he has never been inside the top 30 batsman in the world.So who would you like to sacrifice if given a chance???
