taking suicide! is it right or wrong?

i have a friend, who decided to end his life because of his family problem.. he decided to take suicide.. we were in third year high school then when that thing happened.. other people said that the church won't let his dead body in because of the cause of his death. that's why, i'm thinking. why didn't they allow him to be blessed inside the church before his burial? while he actually needs the blessing because he took suicide. i can't understand why... now, does taking suicide, right or wrong?

Taking it from the Christian point of view, life belongs to God. It is never our place to take our own life or someone else's life.
"Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
