bathing

How do you politely tell someone that they need a bath, because you can't stand to be around the smell??? beating around the bush doesn't work. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Tell him that you bought him a present and give him a bar of soap, some deoderant and some cologne...he'll get the hint then. No, that would be rude:)
