The 34-year-old left-back, who won 125 caps and a World Cup with Brazil, is leaving the Santiago Bernabéu after 11 seasons.
Carlos told Spanish newspaper Marca: "Yes, I will be playing in Turkey at Fenerbahce.""They are the club that have shown most interest in signing me and they convinced me with their project. They have spoken to me lots of times and a very important element in helping me make my decision was that Zico is their coach.""I had a lot of offers from Italy, England and other countries but Fenerbahce want to grow as a club and I was keen to help them.""I think that it is the right time and as I said I want to leave the way open at Real Madrid so that they can begin a new cycle and bring in some new players."My Opinion: Although it will be hard for Real to let go of Roberto Carlos - one of the best defenders in the world, it is a necessary decision to make. Carlos is getting old, the age is showing its mark. Yes, I would have loved to seen him end his career at Real Madrid as Zidane did, but that is Roberto's decision to make!
Cheers!

i think it's very late for carlos to stay and still manage championship because of his old age, but as long as you take some job by fun it will became fun to you..

Carlos to be frank is one of the best left backs in the world and has been exceptional for real madrid for 11 seasons.
I think he would be a positive impact for the club and might be an exceptional player for the team.
Also Carlos would be a role model for the youth team if they have any.

I still think that if they win this years La Liga, it is a great way for Carlos to sign off from Real Madrid. He still wants to play for a few years and Real Madrid cannot afford to play him day in and day out now if they have to have their ambitions of winning everything, so I guess this is a win win situation for both player and club.
Anyhow, I guess anyone who has watched him play can only stand up and applaud his performances over the years and his exceptional contribution to the club.
Cheers!

Roberto Carlos has brought many spectacular moments to football fans and for his steady performance and great talent he deserves all our respect.
You are right that he is the only one that must decide when to end his career or where he wants to play. If he think he can do well in Turkey, it's an honor for Fenerbahce to have him!

I live in Turkey.I don't like Fenerbahce at all but they make good transfers.I don't think so Roberto Carlos will be a successful player in Turkey.Fenerbahce is not as good team as Real Madrid.Good players play well with other good players in team.Roberto Carlos much more qualified member for other players in Fenerbahce. The only player I think a good player in Fenerbahce is Tuncay Sanli.

yes, maybe it is right time for him to leave Real Madrid,he is too old to play in the drastic competetions.his advantage is speed but he become older and older,he loose his advantage now.
Leaving real madrid and choose his another club is his best decision.maybe he can earn more money with less paid.
