What if someone uses BOT for mylot?

would it be possible? a bot posting threads and responding. well maybe it is possible. i hope no one would do it because it is unfair for us all specially to those that really tried hard to post and type messages the whole day.

They could always have us do the "match the text/number sequence in this box" charade before each and every post and response. That would get annoying... But, so long as things did not match, I mean... I've seen people copy/paste things and everyone simply reported and voted them down and they were banned.

That would be kinda stupid because the responses will not match the discussions and it will be obivous that someone is using a BOT and that person will be banned. If someone is truly wanting to earn and stay a member they will play it strait.

unlikely to happen unless someone can create a brilliant bot/software so smart it can process things like we humans do

the webmasetr will come to know about it and he will ban the person who is using the bot .. Its simple the bot coannot act like a human being ...

I would think that someone has tried it already. But is it really so different than the people who go through and copy the same thing into each discusson?

I don't see how it would help. They would have to have various discussions programed in and then if they are not quality discussion that people will actually reply to it isn't going to do them any good, because they won't get paid. Plus they won't be able to respond to their conversations with the bot with the risk of being reported. I just don;t see how it could be possible.

I can imagine that it is possible that people will *try* to use bots to earn here on Mylot.. but there are so many good people policing these forums that I don't believe that anyone would get away with such an endeavour for long. After all, even the cut and pasters are pretty obvious even if you're just scanning topics. Someone using a bot would have to be awfully creative to post things that made sense and weren't detectible to even a casual glance. And I'm sure that the people running Mylot would be and are doing everything that they can to ensure that no bot software will be usable here! ^_^

I think that if bots start arriving here, mylot might soon stop.
