Congratulations! It is a very exciting time. Always ask questions when you see your doctor. Try and do light exercising like walking. Eat as healthy as possible but give in to your cravings every now and then.
But congrats again a very wonderful time in your life.

that's a good reminder, too lesse... whenever you have questions about your pregnancy, never hesitate to ask your doctor about it. she's the very person who can answer your every queery. and for sure, with a healthy diet and proper light exercises, you'll have a good pregnancy... anne

Congratulations on the pregnancey! I bet you are excited and scared. Don't worry as it will go along okay. The best thing to do is stay active and don't gain too much weight. You will change in a lot of ways but enjoy it as it is such a special time.

Congratulations!
Look, don't think about it really, just keep up your good eating habits, keep up any exercise you do, keep up working if you're working & everything will be fine.
Everyone seems to think you need to be treated with kids gloves but it's so not the case - the first thing my Dr told me is to keep doing everything i am already doing!
Just make sure you eat healthy, avoid soft cheeses & processed meat - which includes seafood, make sure you don't think about it too much though or you'll stress yourself out & you don't want that!
Stay active, drink plenty of fluids, but everything usually works out for the best anyway the less you think about it!
Take care :)

Oh also remember to take your folic acid which is cheap & over the counter at the pharmancy & although many will probably tell you to read a lot or whatever - i wouldn't worry too much, all books seem to contradict each other so 1 says to do 1 thing & another will say the opposite - it just causes confusion!
When the baby comes you just need to follow your instincts & everything will work out just fine! Remember, Mother knows best!

hello swetha2rani! i am so happy for you. congratulations to you and your husband/boyfriend! hihihi. i know you're too excited.
anyway, i am not a mother yet. but i have lots of friends who are. just like you, they were first feeling nervous, tensed and scared about it. they don't know what to do basically. but they get tips from their moms all the time. and by the time they deliver their babies, they seem to be the happiest people on earth... i bet one day, you'll be that, too.
just eat healthy and take regular exercises... not heavy ones though.. just have an everyday walk. and sleep early! you need to have discipline for the sake of your baby... anne

Congrats!!!!! I'm pregnant as well with my first but i'm 36 weeks pregnant, and all i can say is it's great being pregnant until about 7 months, or it was for me. When i hit 7 months the backaches, heartburn, not being able to move all the nasty side effects of being pregnant started and now that i'm so close to having the baby i cant wait, it's really hard being pregnant. You will be fine, dont be afaird to ask your doctor lots of questions, and soon you will have a bundle of joy.

Congratulations to you. This is a very exciting time! My best advice is just to relax and enjoy this time. Try to eat right and stay away from things that you would not like in your system...like second hand smoke. Other than that just reduce your stress level and cherish the moments.
cheers, :)

Congratulations to you. now is the time to take care of yourself and pamper yourself. You will be the pampered one now. Everybody starts caring for you saying that what to eat, how to care etc etc. Yes the first 3 months are really delicate. You need to take care more during the first 3 months and after that you have to be active but also not too tiring. This will ensure that you stay healthy throughout this period and have a normal delivery. The best thing for nausea or morning sickness is to have salty wafers in the morning when you get up. alwasy keep with you some green apples chopped and with salt in it. It is really good for nausea.
Take care and have a healthy baby.

my best advice is to just not let anyone tell u their horor stories everyone has them and that just makes things harder. do what you want and is comfprtable.

Just remember if it was that bad everybody would only have one child. Live life as normal with a dose of the healthy food thrown in. I have four kids and all survived my occassional bad habits. Moderation is the key. What a privledge it is to be pregnant. Just enjoy and savour every moment whether they be good or bad and relax the best you can.

Congratulations!!! This is a wonderful time in a womans life. I suggest enjoying it.
Morning sickness passes even if it feels like it never will. Your body will change and you will feel like it will never be the same but it will. You will worry over everything because it is your first, but don't worry to much women have been doing this for hundreds of years. Second hand clothes are just as good as new because baby will grow fast and they won't fit for long. As far as diet eat healthy. As much fruit and veggies as you can, balanced meals, lots of calcium and take your prenatal vitamins. Ask your doctor before you take any other medication besides your vitamins and research everything as far as supplements that people recommend to you before taking it.
Health professionals now recommend that you don't eat mayo, or miracle whip due to raw eggs, sandwich meats due to bacteria. Cook hot dogs very well and don't eat pates. Avoid soft cheeses like brie, feta, Camembert, blue veined, and Mexican-style. Avoid previously cooked seafood like cocktail shrimp and smoked fish. Avoid changing cat liter boxes and don't garden with bare hands. Does your doctor give out a book called Baby's Best Chance? Find out and get it right away. Another good book that was like my bible right through my first was What to Expect When Your Expecting.
Congratulations again and good luck with everything.

Congratulations! Don´t worry, everything should be fine. The first few months are lousy because of morning sickness, but I recommend you enjoy your second trimester to the utmost, since it is when you will feel fine and your belly won´t be too huge to do anything. :D
Some women really enjoy being pregnant, so I hope you do. It is certainly a unique experience. Just be careful not to gain TOO much weight, although you do need to gain at a good rate. I made the mistake of eating for two during my first pregnancy and ended up with 30 extra pounds at the end of it! I didn´t even lose all that before I got pregnant a second time, so now I have way more too lose!
By the way, you can´t cause a miscarriage by doing normal, every day activities, so don´t listen to people who tell you stuff like "washing dishes will make you lose your baby!" In fact, disregard most of the advice people give you. In many cases it will just freak you out and isn´t even true. I would recommend getting the book "What to Expect When You´re Expecting".

Actually this should be either a professional or feminie issue but as a matter of fact, you don't need to give ourself unecessaary trauma over your pregnancy. it is a normal thing for women, all i can advise you to do is not to be too lazy and not to stress yourself too much but, above all, see your Doctor for professional guildlines/ Advice
