It's been reported that Hasek will make his decision to either return to the Red Wings or retire before the NHL awards (June 14).
I personally hope that he stays. Even at 41, he is a strong competitor and an elite goaltender. He does have a tendency to get bored and wander out of his crease, but other than that he is solid.
Should he not return, the Wings should try to sign Giguere. At the very least, it would stop him from beating the Wings again next year.
Another need is a winger, preferably a left winger for the power play. After a decade of having Shanahan and for awhile Hull on the team, it was a noticeable absence this season.

That's right. The Wings did miss Shanahan.Giguere a Red Wing? I can't see it. But I couldn't see Bertuzzi as A Red Wing either.I has been fun seeing Hasek in The Red Wing sweater, but if he wants to retire, then it is time.
