Is human blood really blue and only turns red when it is exposed to air?

Yes it is true.I can tell when I look at my wrist, I can see my veins are blue.I was taught that it was oxygen in the air that makes it turn red.

No, human blood is red. When I give blood at the blood center the blood still comes out red, even though it is not exposed to air.

that just doesn't make sense, that's like asking if when a tree falls in the forest, can you hear it land or something. why do you think humans have a slight pink tone to their skin? or why your face gets red when your blood pressure goes up? that's silliness! lol
