Career Switch : Travelling industry

Hey there, I'm currently in media advertising and considering a switch to the tourism industry. My passion has always been travelling. I mean, if I have a body of an air stewardess/flight attendant, I woulldn't have raised this topic. THe question is, what should I study to enable myself to jump into that industry and what kind of prospect is out there? Will i just be qualified to work in a hotel? Or with an airline company? What? If possible I wanna do frontline influencing people to take up some kind of itenerary I personally put together for them and be able to tell them first hand experience of places they would like to visit. Travelling (for work) opportunity is a must. Help me please :)
