Ichigo's Father

i fink ichigos father is hiding the fact that he is such a high ranking person due to the fact he wants 2 protect his family from hollows or other fings that mite attack him due to his high reiatsu.. but myb also he could b lazy and just lets every1 else do all the work while he just sits dere kinda like urahara..

HMM.. I LOVE BLEACH VERY MUCH! i'M SO ADDICTED TO ICHIGO.. BUT I HAVEN'T WATCHED ALL THE EPISODES YET THAT'S WHY I DON'T KNOW HOW ICHIGO'S FATHER BEHAVES LIKE AN ARROGANT MAN IF HE HAS A HIGH RANK.

Well i had only seen it that ichigo father transform into shinigami recently , i not sure why he is hidding but there are reason and i believe should be something to do with ichigo mother yea who knows that ichigo mother might be a hollow lol ... this is my guessing yea i havent catch the lastest one i am around 120 only yea

i don't think he's in a mod soul, i think its just his character. remember...his best friend is Urahara...and he rarely fights. they may have the same idea about fighting. they'll only get involved if they have to and rather let the youngsters deal with the bulk of it. when you really think about Ishin and Urahara are VERY similar in their attitude, i mean, the silliness they have. i don't think its an act or he's playing dumb, i think thats just his personal side. now a his fighting side is probably more serious, but will still have that fun part. obviously he has some itellegance since he is a doctor...i think he's just natually goofy. especially with his children and girls. i cant' wait till they feature more of ichigo's father in the anime/manga...they really haven't don't anything yet.

What precisely do you mean keeping his position a secret? Firstly, you're assuming he's got a high position, well... I guess we can say that considering anyone who knows urahara must be someone pretty special. Well, he never told his family, coz errr... normal people don't believe in shinigamis. As to why not tell ichigo after he noticed that ichigo became a shinigami. Well, I get the feel that he wants his son to become a lot more stronger by himself without having a backup dad available. And if he doesn't tell his family, who else can he tell? He doesn't know anyone else, and if you're talking abou Urahara, he already seem to know everything there is to know about him, so they don't ever have to mention it in their conversations. Sigh, if he doesn't ever have to bring it up with these people, how are WE ever going to know?. As to why is he so stupid around the house, well... don't you recognize a standard goof when you see one? Ever watched sailormoon? pokemon? both main characters are great in a fight but also the goofiest in either anime. It's built into anime culture, the main character can be strong, they can be cute, but they have to be goofy. It's only the level of goofiness that varies. Think Inuyasha, think Naruto. Do I need to give any more examples?

Well, I think he quit after he "failed" to protect Ichigo's mother. He fells guilty for not protecting her.

i dont think he has a modified soul. cos if he does, then that means that his shinigami soul is outside...then where is it hiding? i was also thinking...if ichigo's dad is a shinigami, than soul society should know about him right? and if so, when ichigo went there (to soul society) and told everyone his name, wouldnt they have recognised the name Kurosaki? and go all "so you're his son!" or something?? or maybe im just thinking too much LOL

I was quite surprise when I saw Ichigo's father transform to Shinigami and fight. But then when I think back... this could be why Ichigo has such talent and potential to be "substitute shinigami". And why Karin also can sense and see hollows and shinigamis. But all the time he covers it so well that I never suspect that he is a shinigami.

Isshin can hide his high rank because he knows how to fool everyone by acting completely crazy. He also hadn't have his Soul Reaper powers so he never used them.
