Flowers

I love carnations most of all and i also like blue roses too. I also like lilly and violet love to bring bunches into the house they smell so good. What types of flowers do you like and do you get flowers given to you much. I have only gotten them a few times myself. I would love to grow them myself but i dont have very good luck growing anything. lol no green thumb. Do you grow you own flowers if you do what types do you grow?

My wife and I love plants and flowers. I like to pick out flowering plants that catch my eye. For example, we just picked out a flowering plant called Shooting Star because it was purple, which my wife loves, and it had nice looking flowers. I generally prefer growing roses. I would love to have some starts from a Lilac Bush, but don't plan on going to Michigan (where I grew up) anytime soon. I don't know if they grow very well in Florida, but I would like to try. They only bloom for two weeks a year but they are worth the wait.

My favorite flowers are :
Lilacs (have 3 trees in the yard)
Wild Phlocks (all over the back property)
Hyacinths (have alot of them in the front flower bed)
Bleeding Hearts (3 plants in numerous spots in yard)
I love flowers- We have 3 flower beds- and several spots where flowers just grow-- They are alot of work to keep weeded out- but I do love them- Every year my daughter and I plant a couple of flats of annuals in the flower boxes- the flower beds have only perineals in them-

I love lillies. They are my favorite flower to grow, because they grow so well here and spread so fast over the years! I do love calla lillies, but I have not had much luck growing them here. I may try again at some point. I also love lilac bushes, just love the smell of them, but I wish they would be in bloom longer!
