Shaving legs

my 8 year old daughter came home from school today saying she wants to shave her legs cause all her friends do. My wife and I told her no cause you are only in the 2nd grade, at what age do you think it is okay to let your daughter shave there legs??

I started shaving my legs in 6th grade, but wished that my parents would have allowed me to start in 4th or 5th. I had extremely hairy legs, and kids made fun of me starting in about 4th grade. I think 2nd grade is too young.

yes my wife and I agree, My wife thinks maybe around the 6th grade would be okay, right now her hair is pretty light so you cannot see the hair all that well
