I live in ohio and we had a warning on the news tonight to not let your garage doors open as thiefs were walking right in and takeing anything they could get there hands on. Now I know that I am not always within earshot of my garage but it is attatched to my house and I do leave the door open to allow air to flow thru, but I guess we dont have that freedom any longer either. the way things have gotten latley I sometimes wonder if we need to sleep in shifts to keep our belongs safe with all the car parts being stolen, things from the garage, kids slamming peoples fences in the night and God knows what else I wonder is anything we have safe?

I really dunno wat u say..but dont u guys hav alarms which ring hard when a stranger hops in!?!? i would suggest to hire a person( watchman kindoff) for ur area to help catch thevies. hope this hepls!

Im talking about people that have there garage doors open in the daytime, the theifs are just coming in and takeing anything they can get there hands on, some neighborhoods are getting together to look out for each other tho.

IF you live in a neighborhood with lots of very close neighbors, the neighbors are trying to look out for each other.

A sensor security light helps a lot. So does a dog that barks when he hears noises. That's what I have and have yet to have anything missing and I've a lot of valuables in my garage. Fingers crossed. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

This is happening in daytime so I dont think a security light will help, and if I had a dog I would have to have him chained up close to the garage, I do have a security light for nighttime tho.
