fruits and vegetables with high fiber content are essential foods. doctors and nutritionists will tell us that we can survive by eating a good variety of these items each day and be very well fed, too. we can even skip taking water as these foods contain enough of this item to fill our need for water. meat and meat products become essential only during our growing years. since the fast growth in women ends at age 18, and 25 in men then, once we reach these ages, we must cut down on our meat consumption and have more of these fruits and vegetables.

Great tips, thanks for sharing..
Sometimes we need to be reminded about eating simple fruits and vegetables to help keep us healthy. Just that extra boost from someone as a reminder helps. I know it does for me...I do need that little reminder sometimes...
Thanks again

the effects of taking lots of fibrous fruits and vegetables are very rewarding to us heathwise. this is because, these will rid us of all those toxins which have accumulated in our body through the years. thus those people who consumes much of fruits and vegetables have such clear and healthy skin which radiates with beauty.

The url has disappeared. I love fruit and salads, and would eat them even if they were not good for me. I do not know anything about intestinal flora. Sounds like a commercial to me. But there is the old adage about an apple keeping the doctor away.

Dear siddhinfo
Thanks for the wonderful information you shared with us regarding fruits and salads .. It's really helpful. Fruits are really helpful for our health. I have a bit more information to share:
Are you taking the 5 A Day challenge? You may be if you find yourself:snacking on raw vegetables instead of potato chips
adding fruit to your cereal at breakfast
using the salad bar when you go out for lunch or to the grocery store
loading up on juice instead of a usual coffee, tea or soda.
The challenge, offered by the National Cancer Institute--a branch of the National Institutes of Health--is to eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day, and these are some ways consumers are rising to the occasion
