Nina Hoffman - Fistful of Sky

Nina Hoffman is one of my all time favorite authors. I have read as much of her works as I could get a hold. Some of her short story collections are really hard to find. Of the books I've read, Fistful of Sky, is the one I like best. All her characters are interesting, but the main character in this book was one I could really relate to. I hope she revisits this family soon. Does anyone who has read her works know of any other authors who use similar themes? I'd like to read more books like hers while I'm waiting for others of hers to be published/written.
