It's interesting to think about the tv shows, old and current, that have gained popularity where the actors/actresses have shown great chemistry onscreen, but suggested otherwise backstage. These tv shows were more interesting to watch because it really tested the actors'/actresses' acting talents as they had to set aside their personal differences and show professionalism on-camera. What tv shows that fit this description do you know of or do you remember?

I Love Lucy is a perfect example of problems off the set, as the stars were married and went through a nasty divorce. I remember how sad it was to know that the television show was not how their life really was at the time. Many years later, they could speak to get other with fond thoughts, but it took a long time. Also the unmarried couple couldn't stand each other, so it was impressive to see them all act on the show. I was a huge fan of the show and still watch it now. The actors have all passed away, but we can continue to enjoy watching them regularly.

It was also years later that we learned that the actress who played Ethel's character was always being criticized by Lucy. It painted a picture that Lucy was difficult to work with, but she is funny. Well, it just goes to show how very good these actors were coz we wouldn't have known about these things from watching them on tv.
Thank you for sharing.
