So a lot of Pro Lifers love to parade around with pics of aborted fetuses...some of them are first trimester fetuses and some are 2nd tri which is illegal.....What i find very interesting and its one of the key reasons these pics dont "shock me into submission" is the fact that NEVER EVER do these pics or the ppl who parade around with them on signs or post them on the web/in forums etc etc say WHY the abortion was performed..For all anyone knows these are babies who were already dead and had to be extracted from the womb! and yes that does in fact happen...For all we know there were complications and the mother was in severe immediate danger and abortion HAD to be performed.... any thoughts?

I am as pro-life as they come. When I went to a clinic with a friend and there were protesters outside I laughed at them. They want to preserve the life of a fetus but have no qualms about shooting or harming those who work at clinics - people who do nothing more than push papers or refill specimen cups. They are in it for shock value and that is it. The more disgusting and twisted the image is - the more they think it is going to sway someone from having a procedure. Are these people going to be there at 2 in the morning when a 13 year old girl is two seconds from having a nervous breakdown because she can't handle a screaming or sick child? No .. then it isn't their responsibility. They give her a few packs of diapers, some formula and information on how to get on welfare and that's it. Abortion is legal .. it is a choice. If I were going to have one and someone shoved some outdated pamphlet in my face about how it is a moral crime .. I'd probably end up getting arrested for beating them into the ground. To shove some religion right back at them ... "Let those without sin cast the first stone"

I just recently moved(last weekend) but where I used to live, there is a Walgreens on the corner down the street. In the plaza where the Walgreens is there are a few dentists, a Sylvan center a Quest Diagnostics and an orthodontist office. However, on random days, in the early morning(like 6/7am-9/10am)there are two or three older women who stand on the street corner at the Walgreens waving pro-life signs and hoax photos. It is the most totally and completely random thing I have ever seen in my life. I'm about 99% sure that there are no abortion clinics in that area since the other three corners are residential communities and I have looked for clinics in my area(thanks to a couple of scares) and there aren't even any within a 10 mile radius. My mother and I laughed so hard the first time we saw them there. It's so crazy.

Lex - I laughed when I read what you wrote about the protest outside Walgreens. After I thought about it for a minute, I thought it was kinda cool. Whyever they chose that place to demonstrate, they also chose NOT to stand outside a dr.'s office and scream at frightened young women on what is surely the worst day of their lives. It's kinda like, exercise of the right to protest at its very best. We want to make a point, but we don't want to hurt people doing it. Thanks for telling me about that!

Like u know I had to have an abortion not long ago, since there was no way that it could be a successful pregnancy anyways and still these photos do not really bother me, and it is for the reason u are stating. We do not know why they had to abort, and some might not even be aborted but miscarriages. I also think that many of them are fake, photoshop can do alot of things to look real..

OK so I will admit that Until RIGHT NOW I've never really looked at the photos of an aborted fetus. BUT after reading this I had to look them up. :( well Im sick to my stomach & feel just ew. For myself I am pro life & would never WANT to have to do something like this. But because I can't see the future & have no idea whats in store I can't say that it's something I would NEVER DO. I also feel that every woman should have the right to choose what to do with their own bodies. AS for these people who parade around with these photos well...bottom line if that woman went into labor & that baby was born at 8 weeks old he/she would NOT survive. For them to parade around & acting as if it were murder is just ignorant. You don't know the story behind each photo you see. Besides what business is it of theirs anyways? I dunno...I mean I can't agree with what they are saying & doing but I guess everyone has a right to express them selves even if its in a tasteless sort of way!

Yes I have seen some nuts use a 7 month misscarriage as a 1st trimester abortion photo! Distortion of the truth, if the truth is included at all, is a tactic the Pro life extremists are very well known for.

That is totally crap! I'm so tired of people trying to justify killing an unborn child. You cannot justify it.

Care to elabroate on WHAT exactly is "crap"? and how does this discussion have anything to do with anyone justifying anything?? The topic at hand is basically about the LACK of providing the story behind the photos....Pro Lifers use these images in order to shock ppl AND leave it for anyone seeing them to ASSUME the abortions those pics are from where standard "i dont want to be pregnant" abortions which is VERY highly unlikely in many cases particularly the pics that are 22,23,24 weeks gestation... so how again is this topic about anyone justifying anything??

The pics are real. It is a human life from conception. I do believe people are trying to justify killing the unborn child.
