here in our country we really love to eat the foods serve in our table using our bare hands, but also when we are in a formal occassion, we, of course, use spoon and fork!
there was this issue before where one of a guy from our country lived in other country and used a spoon to eat his foods, people from that country call him "an ill-mannered guy"....what's wrong with eating using a fork? is that really immoral?

I'm sure there are different customs and manners for different cultures but where I live (USA) I don't know of anyone who uses their hands to eat when they could be using their utensils. Of course you eat sandwiches and pizza and things like that with your hands but I can't imagine eating mashed potatoes or a piece of meat or things like that without a fork.

mostly i use bare hands...i'm asian and i live in US now. But my husband american. first time we date he use this fork to eat rice. it's just weird. where i come from either you use bare hand or spoon to eat rice. and he look at me with the weird look too. but now he really enjoy using his hand because i always cook this asian rice ( kind of sticky rice ) so it's easy using bare hand to pick it up :0) LOL
