i think that its just so sad. if you havent heard the story, this is how it goes , well mainly, the McCann family was vacationing in portugal. The parents decided to go out for dinner just my the hotel s that they could go and check up on their three children that they left alone in the hotel room. when they got back, one of their children, Madeleine McCann, with the age of 4, was gone. And the window was "forced" open.
well, thats the shortt version of the story. I think, personally, that the parents had something to do with this. I mean, who leaves their toddlers in a hotel room on their own? Shouldnt the parents be charged for doing this? Apparently they keep on changing their story. And have never been seen crying? I read from yahoo answers that instead of being seen crying, the parents have been seeing taking walks and jogs on the beach. Some people think that their terrible, money hungry, selfish parents. But some people think that they didnt do anything wrong, and that people are being stupid for thinking these things . well, either way, i hope madeleine's safe and okay. what do you think about this situation? I want to know your oppinion. If you want to know more about this, you can go to

I have read about this and seen stories and many discussions about this and it is such a sad story as it is when any child is missing. However, like many have said here, it is a case where I think there is more to the story than what is being said by the parents.
What kind of parent would leave that many young children in a room by themselves to go to dinner? Also, why was only one child taken? I am going to assume that it is possible for someone to enter the room and take one child, but I do think that the parents should be charged with neglect and I believe they should blame themselves every day that their daughter is missing.
It is hard to have feelings for them when they are the ones who allowed this to happen. If the police haven't checked their stories I think that they should.
It would be a horrible loss to have a child missing, but as a parent you should not put your child in such a compromising situation.

I do think that if that couple were Portuguese they would be charged immediately.
And although the fact of the missing child is very sad everyone is giving too much attention (and money) to those 2.
I thought they were very strange since day 1.
After all they refused to use the baby-sitting (free of charge) service available at the hotel.

Well well. I am getting a bit tired of this story.
There are other missig children in Portugal and no one ever made such noise!
It is always sad when kids go missing, and I personnaly don't know what I would do if that ever happens to me, I would be ready to do anything to get my kid back.
But there are several things going wrong in this story:
- parents that leave 3 under age children alone in the appartment
- going for dinner and lying to people saying they were going every 10 minutes to check them, while the waiters and waitresses said that they never left the restaurant ...
- the first days they werent even crying, I found it strange
- after that the fault was the Portuguese police, well they forgot that leaving kids unattended is a crime in Portugal?
I "saddly" believe that they have something to do with her daughter disappearance, I try to refuse to believe this, but it is simply the most pure truth :(
And now there are millions of Euros flowing and they are travelling everywhere ... I can't believe this!
