after a couple of years of marriage, you'll definitely see some flaws in your married life. Will you still be singing Billy Joel's "i love you just the way you are."?

I'd rather go back to two years ago and never have gotten married or had children. I would give anything to have my life back.

hmm. nice insight. sometimes i feel that way but then again, that would be another song, "i wish i could turn back the clock..."

After 26 years of marriage, we definitely know there are challenges with relationships. My spouse tells me that I am indeed just the way I was when she met me. I think that she is telling me that those buggy behaviours were always there -- perhaps her tolerance has changed; perhaps, my foibles have become more accentuated as we age. When she seems to react grumpily to one of the habits I have, I do hear her say: I'm teasing -- give me a break. Huh!!! However, when I bring home tulips from the grocery stores (she hates expensive florist shops); when I agree to move furniture in a room (for the third time this month); when I reach out with my arm when she struggles to go up the stairs at the front porch, and when I play my fingers soothingly across her itchy back... that's when I know... she loves me just the way I am.

Although after a few years of marriage we do see things we didnt see before that marriage I believe that song is correct in my marriage, there isnt anything I would change about my husband , he is the most careing man I have ever met,His feelings are true so what if he has a flaw or two its all a part of for better ow worse. And I truly do love him just the way he is.
