Do you turn off the radio??

I travel a lot for work, and find myself going to a lot of places I've never been before. I can drive almost all the way to my destination with the radio playing nice and loud, but when I get close to where I'm going, the radio has to be turned off so I can concentrate on finding where I'm going. Does anyone else do that? Why do you do it? I don't really know why I do it. I can do just about anything with the radio on, but when it comes to finding where I'm going, the radio has to be off.

yeah i turn off my radio but why wouldn't you turn off your radio? lol then your car won't start i think

How interesting, I never really thought about it but I do the same thing. When I get close I turn off the radio. I drive cab sometimes and I turn it down before I pick up passengers and I guess the habit carried on to my personal life when I park the car. How strange...

I have been known to turn my radio down, almost to the point of being off, if I am looking for a place, or a parking spot. This is only when I go somewhere unfamiliar, which sounds similar to what you are doing. :)

Ofcourse Radio diverts your intention i also do that i am a radio junky too but when i find myself little tensed so i prefare not listen the radio so i use to turn the volume down this our nature when we need to concentrate little more then normal we prefer silence to get more attention..........
