Shawshank Redemption wid Tom Hanks!!

frens i read somewhere that tim robbins' role was 1st offerd to tom hanks!!! but he turned it down coz he was already engaged in the filmin of forrest gump!! i'm an ardent fan of Tom hanks...so i'd love the movie twice as much had it starred tom hanks...i'm not sayin tim robbins did a bad job[he's done a gr8 job]....but i'd luv to hav seen tom hanks in da lead .....(any tom hanks fan out der!!)
P.S:How many times have u seen this movie?[43 times]

I'm a Tom Hanks fan my self... and here he made a big mistake... a mistake good for tim robbins... I love this movie, but I can imagine Tom Hanks in this role cos tim robbins was excellent and this role suits him perfectly... as for Tom Hanks... huge mistake refusing this role:)
