I've had a couple of days working at my new job and i have to say that i'm really enjoying it. It's what i'm interested in and i'm constantly learning. I'm also getting a good insight into the buisness. So i was wondering, do most people enjoy their jobs? Have you ever had a particularly enjoyable job?

I am glad you are enjoying your new job linz, you are very lucky to have found a job like that. Hope you learn lots for your future in photography.
When I was younger I had a fabulous job that I loved although people might consider it boring - working as a secretary for an insurance company, in the Claims Department. It was so interesting and varied and at times, quite challenging.
As someone has already said, once you hit 40+ it's hard to get a job, and now I am in Australia I find this is so. As a result I started my own cleaning business and although it brings in the money, I don't enjoy it. Ah well, only a few years to retirement, lol!
BTW I just bought myself a Canon 400D twin lens SLR (you may remember, photography is my passion). A photographer friend of mine wants to use me as an extra photographer when he does weddings! He wants to train me - I am so excited!

Well I'm glad you enjoy your job, Linz, and that it's going well. As for your question about whether I enjoy ine - well frankly - no - LOL I hate it! If I was 20 years younger I would leave and work somewhere else, but when a woman gets over 40 it is actually quite hard to find employment, and as we live in London with a huge mortgage that has another couple of years to run, I am just greatful for a regular wage with sick pay/holiday pay etc, and I put up with it. So I would say - bored - yes, unchallenged - yes, clock-watching - yes definately, and enjoy it - NEVER!!!!! Hope you can keep on enjoying yours though!!

Oh I work with Asylum Seekers and refugees in Immigration. It is quite a thankless task, and so much bureaucracy and paperwork that you wouldn't believe it!! Typical Government Department. LOL!

Yes I do enjoy my job. I have a home daycare and I love working with the kids. I keep them very busy throughout the day. I am a Preschool Teacher as well, so we are always learning and playing. I need to keep myself busy or I get bored. And I find the busier I keep the kids, the more fun they have.

It depends on what scenario you're in right now. Like, if you work in IT and live in a developing 3rd world country then I would be a different story. Pay in these countries are not enough to compensate for the kind of skills workers have. So not everyone enjoys their job.

Hmmmm do I like my job? Let me think about this. I get to get up in the morning and walk arround in my PJ's all day if I want to. If 1 of my kids are home sick from school I dont have to worry about finding a sitter or losing a days worth of work. I can bring my kids to work with me.
So yeah you could say I like my job. I am a full time stay home mom who does a few things from home to earn some pocket change and it all works for me.

I have enjoyed my jobs most of the time. Some where the ones that filled in til THE job came along for the time. I do like what I am doing cleaning and they like me too. Since I lost everything to a housefire they have gone out and purchased several of those blue and while recycle cans with white lids and hole in the top for cans. They did that for me and my family. I am fortunate to like the job and they have me spearheading the crew to keep the factory as clean as we can. A great deal. For as long as it lasts since nothing is long term anymore it seems.

Hey,
That's great to hear! kudos and keep seeing the fun in it, we shouldn't grow to hate the place we work. (sadly we do)
I wouldn't work somewhere I didn't enjoy and I wouldn't do the job either, after all that's just going to make me unhappy and it's important that we are happy.
Kudos,
~Joey
