I've seen many Japanese anime series in my time...
When I was really young I was watching "Candy" and "Sandy Bell", then it came the time for "Sailor Moon", "Grendizer", "Voltron", "Macron 1", and further on, "Dragon Ball Z" until today when I like watching series like "Inuyasha" or "YuYu Hakusho".

Voltes V, Mazinger Z, Daimos, Samurai X, Dragonball Z, Flame of Recca, Ghostfighter, Zipang, Naruto, Sailormoon.
I'm not sure if you can count Samurai Jack in the list. :)

Wow, if you only know of Naruto, then you are missing out on a lot, a WHOLE lot. I know of many anime, since there are thousands, but those I have actually watched include:
Card Captor Sakura*
Chobits*
Cowboy Bebop
Digimon*
Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z
Flint the Time Detective
Fruits Basket*
Full Metal Alchemist
Gravitation*
Gundam: 8th MS Team
Last Exile*
Loveless
Ouran High School Host Club*
Outlaw Star
Pokemon
Prince of Tennis
Princess Tutu*
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Rurouni Kenshin
Sailor Moon
Sonic X
Tenchi Muyo/Universe/In Tokyo
Trigun
Yu Yu Hakusho*
I put stars next to my favorites, and this list doesn't include movies and OVAs (Original Video Animation) There are others that I have seen but these ones I have watched most of or all of and I also own several of them. You should check out some of these titles! Oh, and the anime people have listed called 'Ghost Fighter' is actually called Yu Yu Hakusho, Ghost Fighter is the name of the Filipino dub.

There are a lot of anime around, depending on which genre you're into. It would take forever to list them down so I suggest that you visit www.animenewsnetwork.com since they have this encyclopedia that you can use to view synopsis, information and ratings of different anime. It's very helpful. I always use it whenever I see a new title ^_^

I started watching anime when I was 9 and had too much free time on my hands. When I got home from school I'd immediately plonk myself on the couch and watch Fushigi Yuugi, Gatekeepers, Flame of Recca, Cooking Master Boy, and this series with eight celestial stones or something like that. I stopped watching anime at 15 because I was getting super busy :( I'd like to rewatch Full Metal Alchemist (best anime ever, imo), Mushishi, and continue watching Gunslinger Girl and maybe start with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya and Ouran High School if I have the chance.
I don't watch Naruto anime but I do read the manga. The plot's a lot more concentrated there!
