i hate waking up early...since our schedule at work rotates and most of the time, we are more busy working at night time here, since all out clients are in the US so normal business hours for us is night time in the philippines..
i hate it when my schedule starts from 4am to 6am...because i hate waking up early...i really prefer to sleep the whole day and prepare for work at nights. there are also other people at work who like being in the morning shift because comparing the sleep that you get at night and in the morning is diff...
But im more alive at night time, good thing we are allowed to swap schedules..
so, are you a morning person, or a night person?
which one do you prefer? waking up early for work, or graveyard shifts ?

I use to be a night owl... way back in my younger years but since I have had children I have been forced to because a morning person. I hate it but I don't have much of a choice. I would love to be able to sleep in past 7 in the morning.

Defintely morning. I have tried to change for years and I can't.Of course now my body's internal clock is broke(thanks to Fibromyalgia). I usually fall asleep early(9) and am up by 3:00-4:00AM.If I actually had a social life,I would be out later, then I might sleep til' 5AM,no matter what time I get home.

I am disabled now so I cannot work anymore.I have been legally disabled since 2003(took 6 yrs. to win claim).I have a major chronic pain problem with multiple ailments.I usually never nap.If I did it would turn into a habit. I cannot have that.I usually live on 6 hours of sleep per 24 hours.Occassionally I might struggle to get 8 but it's rough trying to stay in bed that long.Painkiller wears off. Besides I am a single mom with pets.

I have fibromyalgia too. I stay up late rather than struggle to get to sleep. I take a sleeping pill, low dose. It helps me to sleep through the night, though I do wake up to go to the bathroom once, maybe twice. I get 8 hours sleep but you know we never get deep restorative Stage IV sleep, so we always feel tired no matter how much sleep we get!

I am a night person. My lifestyle fits that at the moment which is very good. Trouble is my husband is a morning person which means I don't see him very much. Perhaps that is how we get along so well. I have a part-time evening job then spend some time on here after making a packed lunch for my daughter. She is a teenager and gets herself up and off to school. Our son is at university now. I stay in bed a bit longer and have the day to myself etc.

I am definitely a night person. It is 230 am right now as I am typing this lol. I don't know, I hate waking up early in the mornings too. In fact, When I do wake up in the morning to do something I spend at least an hour stoning and then get my a$$ into the shower. Unless of course I gotta be at work in a hurry. I am most productive at night.

I am a night person myself, I too used to work shift work in a telephone exchange, I used to always change my shifts for the afternoon shift and when i did get stuck with a day time shift I used to hate it, but there wa a time when I was very young I had the fancies for a boy at the exchange and I tell you what that makes you want to get out of bed early, I used to start at 7am in the morning....hahahaha its amazing what the matters of the heart will do... :)

i agree more on that! this week our schedule is from 9pm to 6am, then next week it changed to 5am to 3pn..this officemate aproached us if i want to swapped sched, her sched si 8am to 5pm ( great schedule..office working hours) since i dont like waking up early and she really need to be in the office earlier because she has hots for this guy and she wants their sched to be the same..so i agreed...8am sched is not bad anyways..at least i dont have to wake ups as early as 3:30 am to prepare for work..

i am most definitely a night person. i hate the morning, really. i mean, i love the sunrise, but i like to see it because i have been up all night and am then going ot go to sleep. Unfortunately, the world doesn't function that way and i am forced to get up int he morning. Though, i do get up later than a lot of people. i don't get off the computer until 2 or 3 in the morning most nights and then i take a long time to get to sleep...i usually all asleep around 4 or 5, then i wake up around 6 and then fall back asleep around 7. i then usually wake at 8, fall back asleep about 8:45 and then wake again at abour 9:45. Odd schedule, i know.

I am a night owl i have a very hard time doing morning i have been trying to change my schedule around but it is not working well though. I work a night shift from 2pm to 10pm and i like to stay up late after work and work on mylot a bit to late i am afraid but that is when i get my me time alone the kids are usually in bed then. I am trying to curb it back though cause i have to start going to bed a bit earlier so i can get my housework done before i go to work as i am a single mother i have to do it all myself and work it is hard with little sleep. someday i guess.

I would prefer to work in the morning. Since, I am connected with an educational institutions and the school operates in the morning..
I hate working on the night time coz when the clock reaches at 9pm up, my eye bag will start to bloat. It means that I can't defy not to sleep early.

I have been a night person most of my life. Even when I was in school I would stay up to watch the tonight show and the tomorrow show after it. Now I usually watch one of the after the news shows and then Craig Ferguson and at 2 am watch poker after dark while I am on line.
With the internet I have nights I stay up until 4 or 5 AM easy. I am online from about 11 pm or midnight until anywhere frrom 3 am to 6 am. I'm in the US but have plenty of friends in Australia who are awake when I am.

Heya, I'd have to say that I am probably a night time person, especially since it is currently 12.35am where I am writing this right now.
Unfortunately for me however my life is not really conducive to this timetable.
It definatly sounds good that you can swap your schedules for the ones you want where you work.
I have always preferred the night time and been more 'alive' at night. Before I had my daughter I would be up until three or four AM pretty much every night.
Regards, Tanika.

I'm absolutely a night person. Since I was younger, I'd always find myself awake at night doing just about anything or just watching old movies on TV. I feel more inspired to do things during the night and I think I am more creative too at that time. The downside of it is when I have to wake up early the next day as I have a full time day job. So I literally have to force my body out of bed everytime and sometimes I come in late for work if I find it too hard to wake myself up. The earliest that I go to bed is 12 midnight. I'm lucky if I can sleep around 10-11 pm because that's already a treat! :)

I guess it depends... I can stay out all night and never get sleepy... I can wake up early and be ready for the world.. and then there are times when I want to go to sleep and can't and there are times when I want to go back to sleep and can't... I guess in all I would have to say that I am a night person... because i perfer to be out and with the crowd

I am not a morning person. I wouldn't like waking up at 3 in the morning to get ready to start work at 4am. However, I wouldn't want to work a graveyard shift either. My ideal schedule to work or to do anything is from 10am-6pm. That is my ideal work schedule.
Good luck with the job!
