We r so busy working now a days, we dont hace time to even talk to our loved ones sometimes. I sleep 5-6 hours a day, n only during my weekly holidays from work do I pamper myself to get a good 8-9 hours sleep a day. I started this discussion because I wanted to tell u guys about an experience I had last night, which has made me cautious of my lifestyle.... I have been working reallly hard this week, to meet my Sales targets at work, sometimes even doing an overtime.I have a Weekend off this week, so Fridat was my last working day, n so had to complete my targets this Friday, so that I could make my team leader happy, n also earn some incentives( cause my pay is less compared to wat I should be getting).I m in this company for about I year, n am ther cause the pressure is ok, n also, the Process is interesting.Ok, so goin back to my incident,,, So after a very long, tiring day at work on Friday, my shift got over at 7.30pm,I realised that I had not completed my Customer Satifaction Surveys for qualifying to get incentives. Then I had to do OT. I worked for 1 hour extra, n finished my targets for myself. My bf also finished em, n We went home on Bike.As I reached home, ate a delicious dinner, n slept, I just started getting weird pictures n dreams. Dreams about targets at work, me working hard, TL shouting to complete Sales Targets, n also dreams about how sad I was, since I did not get my OT money this month in my Sal.Well, I tired sleeeping the niht, but nothing happened. N finally I got sleep at 7 am. I felt so sick. I told my mom this, n she told me that I should leave my company, n get a job somewhere else, cause this Job is taking a toll over me....I dunno, if this is Stress, or Something else. But I m definitely not goin to do any OTs in future.Have u experienced this?Share your thoughts!!!

Come what may. I always get sound sleep almost everyday except one or two days in a month. I jot down all the worries as problems to be solved in a note book which I refer fresh in the morning.

Also, you try the best medicine to get sleep is meditation (suspension of thoughts for 30 to 45 minutes) before normal sleeping time. Thanks for your comment.

I have sleep disorders that have been keeping me awake lately. I don't have much stress any more, since i've retired. I'm curious about what you do most evenings when you leave work. Do you have some activities that are physically active and unrelated to your work? And do you stay up late even when you could go to bed earlier? Stress does not have to be a negative factor in your life if you manage it well. Go to bed earlier and develop a pattern of unstimulating activity for an hour before bedtime. If you go to bed relaxed and have enough time to get a full night's sleep you are more likely to get quality sleep. Long periods of sleep deprivation will increase the vividness of your dreams because your brain needs to dream. If you aren't getting REM sleep you won't get enough dreaming for your brain to process your day. Try to unwind with some unrelated-to-work activity and to avoid caffiene and other stimulants in the evenings. And have a regular time to awaken. Soon you will establish a better sleep pattern and reduce your negative effects of stress at work.
