Hello friends and myLotters, Do you set goals each day for how many posts you will answer in a day? Do you like to top what you did the day before? I like to set a goal each time I log in, I tell myself I want to answer 10 posts, and start 3 discussions. My problem is everytime I pass the computer, I log in, then I have a new set of goals. Face it I hooked on this site. So do you set goals each time you are here?

doing too much mylotting will definitely affect or regular day to day work adversely. this is happening to me, too. time will come when i will have to lower my hours of stay at the computer. actually, as of now, i can still stay for long hours doing mylot as i am a stay at home mom for the moment. by next week, the scenario will be starting to change. too bad that the isp connection that we had, has been performing bad for the past week. i am trying to make as many posts as ppossible as i know i will be cutting on mylotting very soon.

Did I read that right, you set a goal of 100? I am thinking on a small scale for myself, I guess.

I joined in Aug 2006 and I did set a goal that I should be on top. I did achieve that and stayed there for a month. Later due to preoccupation in my business, I did not concentrate on mylot as a result I am now in 5th position. Presnetly, I have not set any goal as far as mylot is concerned, but I have a goal set for everyday work and I am happy I am able to achieve that. By setting goals to ourselves, we complete all the pending works and remain update in all spheres of our activity.

Welcome to MyLot. We all get like that in the beginning. I used to set goals, but now I pop on just to see what's happening. I have a lot of points, number one, so I have run out of energy and answers and questions. Blessings to you. Have fun and enjoy yourself here.

I don't. I have many goals in my life, but not on mylot. I am here for fun, some days I can respond to many discussions, some days only to one or two. As far as new discussion, I start new discussion after I have more than 10 responds to recent discussion first...

I like that idea, wait until you have 10 responses before starting a new discussion. If I do that I might have to wait awhile, some of my discussions only have 1 or 2 responses. Still a great idea! Thankyou!

i had tried to set a goal of a hundred responses in a day. i wanted to see how long will it take me. yes, i reached it but i really got tired doing it. i had to stay for so many hours pounding at the computer. i am no longer fast at the keyboard and i always commit errors. i had to reread my responses before posting and do some corrections. i believe that i had found that on the average i only ten responses in an hour. too bad, that means that i am very slow, indeed.

Too much at one time will get to you. The best I did so far is 40, but I'm selective on my topics, I'm slow too. Thanx!

Today is the first day that I have set a goal. Today is one of the few days I have spent less time on here. So setting a goal isn't working out so well today. Do you finding setting a goal works for you most of the time or all of the time?

If I can be left alone, my wife keeps interupting me throughout the day. I do most of the time. I find that I can set a small goal, achieve that. Later come back, set another goal, and achieve that too!

I do my best to try and hit all my friends on my list thats about how I go on what I am replying to. I dont have hundreds of friends so its not that hard to hit everyone on the weekends but during the week its a bit more difficult to keep up. That is provided that its something I actualy want to reply to.

Yeah, lately I've been working from home, which makes it easier to do this. Now I got to work in the field, making it harder.

It is really a good idea. I have thought about that too but sometimes when I am on the computer... I am having trouble about what topics to be posted. It is really hard to think interesting topics. I'll give it a try, posting 10 responses and start 3 new discussions. Thanks for sharing! :)

Yes I do set goals everytime I'm on here Yesterday I made 0.50 cent and today I want to make a dollar or more. It really is addicting and I try so hard because to me this is easy money.

No,I am not, because I do not know how many discussions which suit me to discuss in MyLot every day.I think although the amount of the discussions I have post is important, but the quality of the discussions is more important. So to keep a high quality of my discussions ,I can not set a goal.

I don't set any goals but I try to answer as many posts as I can. I do get stuck a lot trying to think of topics to start a discussion. When I finally think of one I look around and sure enough someone has already asked it. LOL

Yes, I have a general goal of 20 posts per day. I can't say I'm going to start any discussions every day because osmedays I just can't think of anything and I'm not about to start a discussion just for the sake of reaching a daily goal. When I start a discussion I want it to be good. But some days I don't make my goal and some days I exceed it. It's somewhat difficult to make a lot of posts becaue I am on a dial up ocnnection because I live out in the country. And when I am at work sometimes I get very busy and can't post. But I find that by doing 20 posts per day can make a dollar a day.
