Cats conserve energy by sleeping more than most animals, especially as they grow older. Daily durations of sleep vary, usually 12-16 hours, with 13-14 being the average.
My cat justine who is 2 years old loves to sleep, he sleeps all day long! He can sleep for 18-20 hours i think!

Same as my cat, he sleeps all day long and when midnight comes, he plays happily and full of enery!
Due to their crepuscular nature, cats are often known to enter a period of increased activity and playfulness during the evening and early morning;)

I think my cat sleeps at least 14 hours a day. Sometimes he surprises me with how much he suddenly sleeps in a stretch.
