currently, many children and teenagers are subject to compulsory education: by law they are required to attend some form of school. Laws vary from country to country, but most students are allowed to abandon their education when they reach the age specified in their jurisdiction.

I think it is fortunate that children and teenagers are subject to compulsory education. Reading to read, write and manage number work is important for their lives in the future. Also they learn how to from friendships and working relationships through class activities and team work. The school work they do sets them up by helping them learn time management, the importance of good presentation and of course, about useful facts. Creative writing is very important too. It helps develop the children or teenagers imagination.
Education standards vary considerably around the world. Some children living in Europe might be able to afford to stay on at school or go to college. However some children in Africa might be unable to afford to do this. Compulsory education, therefore, is a wonderful thing. It is free for all. The age teenagers can legally leave school varies considerably.
