Honesty still holds good, and will hold good forever. Even though the results may take time for you, honesty will always help you in your life, that can be of some satisfaction to you and to the people around you. Nobody will be happy to live around a person who is not honest. On the other hand, everyone will really love you, if they know you are a very honest and a lovely person. So stick to the honesty, and you will really be paid in the long run.

That depends on the person's principle. There are people who values money more than their life's values and dignity, so they get to do anything that they can and that includes being dishonest. While some people are giving values to honesty regardless of what is in front of them. Money indeed is always a factor for a person's dishonesty, they do that because they are not contented of what they have. I guess if a person is contented of what he have and gives value to his morale will get a good grip of the saying honesty is the best policy.

I think it does apply still to everyday life and honesty is really still the best policy. Although our perception of it may have changed since in our times it seems to show that honesty is lowly degrading in our norms. But I guess if that will really collapse that our existence here on earth will be erased since everything cannot be trusted anymore.

I am a sales manager, and believe it or not I do teach "Honesty is the best policy." In my opinion, if you tell a lie, then it just ends up in a chain of lies. Plus there is too much inaccuracies to remember. If you tell the truth, it's just the facts.

In any venture in life, honesty is still the best policy in my opinion. Eventually liars, or those who are not quite as honest as other do get caught out.
