I am trying to join the Airforce and so many people call me crazy and I say "thank you, yes I am". I have my own reasons on why I want to and everyone does and that is fine. I give tons of credit to those that do and if I could thank them everyday I would because I love them all and I feel they are my heroes and if it wasn't for them then God only knows where we would be. I also feel that Military is a great way to boost your career and your life etc.
It is SO very hard as well, and we all know that and I do feel it is worth it all.
How do you feel about joining? Would you and if yes what branch or if you have what branch was it?

My husband is active duty Air Force. He's been in for 3.5 years and is making it a career. He really likes it most days. Of course it's like any other job, though, and there are things you won't always like about it, but for the most part, he's pretty happy with it.
Being military is definitely different than being a "civilian" with no real military ties. I was surprised at how different when my husband and I got married.

Good for him! You must be so proud :). I have heard that the AF takes care of their families more then any other branch, do you feel that is true? Is that your baby in the baby? He is adorable.

I wouldnt say you were crazy. I know lots of men and women both who have joined the military. My sister is in it. She used to be in the National Guard but not she is regular army. I look up to her even though she is my little sis. On top of being in the army she is a full time mom, plus she is a college student. She's almost got her LPN license and is working towards being a doctor. She's doing more than I ever could. Joining the military is a very brave thing to do. It takes courage and love to do something like that. If I was going to join the army I would say it would probably be the Navy or the National Guards.

Thank you so much! Wow, your baby sis has accomplished so much and I can see why you look up to her, how awesome! My fiance was in the Navy and he loved it and would go back in, in a heart beat and as you can see by my nic name "deckape" is to represent him, "deckape" is one of the terms they used in the Navy because he was a "seaman" "deckmonkey" "deckape" and so I say "Lv" for "love" and put them together and you get "Lvdeckape" because I love him..lol
Anyway, I hope you do consider it one day and I wish you the best of luck and I wish for your sister to have safe trips and a happy and successful life.

You ARE Crazy! But I guess you're not crazy enough to join the Army like I did.
One thing the Air Force does right... The Enlisted and NCOs stay back and send the Officers forward to fight. ;~D

No, I am far to unruly and rebellious. Where I to join any of the forces it would have to be the airforce because the idea of flying appeals to me.
To assault the sky in my gleaming needle
This metallic delilah
To set forth in a burning lance
To joust with the forces of darkness
Hmmm, as you can see my idea of flying is probably hopelessly romantic and unrealistic!
all the best urban

I considered it at one point, back when I was still in high school I wanted to join the Navy. But I realize not that I was just scared of not becoming anything, I was scared of not being accepted into any universities so I started meeting up with Navy guys and looking into it. As soon as I started receiving acceptance letters and had some options, I forgot all about it. So I know my interest wasn't genuine.
I wouldn't join the military now because first, I don't want to have a job where I might have to kill. I don't mind supporting my country, but if I were in the military what I'm supporting isn't up to me - it's up to the government. What if I disagree with the government?
It's great that you want to go though, you're certainly braver than I! Much luck
:)
