A year Abroad

Hallo to evryone, and Thank you for all response you will give me.
The next year, in Jennaury 2007, I will go to U.S.A. for a semester in a High School.
I will live with an host family provided for me from an Association (EF).
I wuold to go but I am afraid to miss my parents...
What I must do? What do you think?
