Frens i really wanna know the methods u people use to tackle spammers in orkut.both in my profile and in my comunities i find it a lot difficult and get frustated alot with those spam scraps askin to join this and that. it becomes worse with ma communities with people starting so many threads with referal links and links to their blog etc..etc..this really annoys me very much! i also get so many scraps askin me to join some other social networking site[how silly these ppl are]...!Am jus not able to tolerate these things..they spoil the spirit in socializing itself..how do u ppl go abt this???

orkut is intolerable these days, and most of the communities have spam all over. i have delted my orkut account lately as i find it boring and eventless.moreover too much exposure and no privacy in there, everyone can see anyones scrap, i dont like tht

Good communities are those that don't allow spammers such liberties of spamming its members. If you are getting lots of spam then check if you are getting spam messages from one particular community, then either ask the admin or mods of the community to take action against the spammer. If its a properly run community then you will have things sorted out, if not then you better unsubscribe from that community coz if the admin is not responding then you believe that its a community where anything and everything goes. But most good communities ban spammers as soon as they spam so if you join a good comunity with responsible admin and mods then you don't have to worry. So better join good communities.
