Websites that pays for view/click.. are they really true???

A few weeks ago i was got interested into signing up to those websites that says giving an opportunity to earn while surfing in the net,or just reading mails in my mailbox. And I would be get paid in dollars. I made an account at e-gold, as per requirement in order to receive payments from those websites. Everyday i check and read mails, visits those website. i also kept on checking at my e-gold account everyday. But, im wondering why my account is still zero balance. I had a big question right now, "Are these websites really true?" Here are the following websites i've joined: Donkeymails, PayingCash,E-ptr, Clixsense, & MyLot. I would greatly appreciate all your responses, comments, and suggestions. Thank you!
