I know that I have been suffering from depression for a long time and I also know that it runs in my family. I have noticed recently though, that it seems a lot more people are showing signs of depression. I don't want to be popping pills for the rest of my life, so I try to deal with it without the help of medicine. I just wonder if it is the world today that brings so much dismay on people and I'm starting to think that maybe this is the way it is always going to be. Any thoughts?

Well there have always been troubles in the world so I doubt it's that. It can't be due to poor nutrition and environmental toxins screwing up people's systems as well as the genetic factor. There is a way to deal with depression and stress without pills though. I'm using something called biofeedback and it has really helped a lot. I wrote a short article about biofeedback in my blog if you are interested. It's in the "Depression" post category.
