What did you use desktop computer or laptap/notebook?

Right now, we have just the one desktop, and it has caused problems from time to time, because my partner does quite a lot of his film editing on the computer, though he hates using Windows for that. We're currently awaiting delivery of a Macintosh desktop for him. His parents were able to get one for free from one of their friends, and so they're having the system upgraded to the requirements my partner will need for film editing, and then shipping it out to us. Once that arrives, we'll both be much more able to spend time on our respective systems and still spend time with each other. I await him messaging me on MSN even though we're in the same room, asking me to put the kettle on LOL.

At my home also there is only one desktop computer with cable connection, and Internet is available for 24 hours. At home, the computer is used by me and my two brothers... we have distributed time slots between which we use the computer... so there is no chances of anyone getting upset due to use of computer...

Me and my boyfriend did the exact same thing, he got himself a laptop so I could use my PC more, but in the end I use the laptop just as often as he does because I like it so much. He still uses my PC, too.

hm i usually use my notebook if i'm not at home or when i came to place that have hot spot so i can surf in internet faster than in my house..

In my house i use only one computer because the highest online activity only me, in Indonesia the broadband connection is so expensive, for 1 Giga quota it cost $23, for the dial-up connection it cost $12 for an hour, because of my high activity then i decided to use GPRS unlimited connection and i think this is the cheapest one, because i only spend $32 access the unlimited internet connection from my cellular provider about the speed i think it is enough for me.

Great! just like also some of my siblings. I am also getting upset when they are using the computer with a nonsense things. I am using a desktop computer but i am planning to buy my own laptop computer next time. Ahehehe

I currently have 3 desktop computers two hooked up to dsl through a router system and then one of them has a wireless card and I also have a laptop that is hooked upto wireless that is used also so there is no lack of getting online or sharing computers in our house, there is two of us but when the kids come home they have there own to use and the laptop so it all works good. I would never be with just one computer in the house we enjoy and use it for too many things to have to share.

im using desktop while my husband use his laptop, we have 4 computer in the house the 3 desktop was build by my stepson, we just bought all the parts.

i am using a desktop. i prefer a desktop pc coz it is upgradable. My needs for computer usage requires a computer with very good performance and sooner or later becasue the technology is changing so fast i will need my computer be upgraded to i will just have to buy new parts instead of buying an entirely new pc which i could have lost a lot of money already just because i could not upgrade.

Hello,happymom,i am using a laptop,i like to use laptop more than computer as it is handier,although i will always stay at my room to work in front of the computer,but if i am using laptop,i am not confined to use it at my bedroom,i can go to the living room when i want. I am using cable connection at home and laptop gives me more flexibility.Also i can bring it to my friend's home when i want.

We do have 2 desktop computers in our house which my dad use and the other one for my brothers and sisters who go to school. I use a desktop pc at work but I also have a laptop computer I use when I'm home. I also use this laptop whenever I need to work at home or anywhere else where there is internet connection. It is very convenient for me.

In our house we have one desktop PC..while in the office I am using laptop..however every weekends I am bringing my laptop home because I have to do some works at home so other family members may use the desktop PC.

I personally prefer notebooks than the desktops. Because you can take them wherever and whenever you want to. Just like what you said, you dont need to wait for some one to vacate the seat for you to take the computer. You own it and maintain it. Nowadays, notebooks are damn cheaper and some of them even at the cost of the desktop computers itself. So I prefer notebooks than the desktops..

I currently use a Desktop. There are 2 of them and this one is mine alone and the other computer is the main family computer. Mine has a Wireless adaptor to it with DSL.

I'm using desktop computer and laptop, but most of the time im using my desktop computer, and we're just using dsl router for laptop if we're using it.
