It is NEVER OK for a parent to hurt a child, no matter what the child does wrong. This includes physical as well as psychological and emotional hurt. Children will, by nature, do things wrong as they grow up; they test the limits and just make mistakes. It's part of the developmental process. The parents job is to teach the child right from wrong and to help them to learn from their mistakes so that they are not repeated. Of course, punishment is OK if it's indicated, but the punishment needs to be appropriate, and it must certainly not hurt the child. Children should be safe and secure at all times, no matter what mistakes they make. They should never doubt the love of their parents.

hurting kids makes them also become rebeld.
if the kids hurt, some may think that thier parents didn't love them anymore.
som also think that if they hurt by thier parents they will not do again do bad things.
