Once again i am frustrated with one of my friend..We had a plan to spend our day and i was the one who gone earlier at the place where we meet.I was waiting for a long time and he didn't came at the time we agreed.when i call to his mobile he said i am on the way but i know that he has not yet started and telling lie.Because most of the time it happened and most of my friends wont tell the truth in this regard(sometimes me too). After an hour late he came and i shouted at him..
Have you ever encountered an experience like this..How do you feel waiting for some one???Its very annoying to me..R u punctual???

Hello Coolgeth. There is many occasions I have been in these situation. Once, my sister was supposed to bring me to a place which was about 1 hour drive from town. She told me to get ready in the afternoon and I did. But I waited and waited, she still didnt come. I called her and she said she will be coming shortly. After hours of waiting, she finally arrived to pick me up. It was already 7pm. Her excused was she was getting her children prepared for the journey. I was annoyed but I didnt say anything. I am not always punctual but I try to be.

I always been punctual in meeting a new friend because i don't want him/her to have a bad impression on me specially with regards to panctuality. For old friends, i might be late for 10 minutes beyond that i make it assure that i gave a phone call or sms to the friend who is waiting for me why i am late wherein mostly because of traffic or some hassles at home and can't leave early.
Waiting for hour is so annoying and makes me really mad, specially if the reason is nonsense. It happened to me and to come for worse, the plan to go somewhere did not fulfill for sudden change of her mind. I really feel embarrassed at her. Now as much as possible i avoid making an appointment with her, and i make myself late to the meeting place if she is the one i'll gonna meet.

hey coolgeth I am always early if I am going myself. If my hubby is with me or if I have to rely on someone else driving we are normally within a few minutes. It does really annoy me when we set a time to meet and the other person is running late, especially if they don't call and let me know. I have a friend that is always late and I have learned to tell her a half an hour earlier than what we are actually going to meet then she gets there around the same time. The fact that this guy said he was on his way and it took an hour to get there was just a lack of respect. I don't think I would have yelled at him in public like you did but I would have made sure he knew when we got somewhere that it could be discussed.

Yeah, it's frustrating to wait for someone for a long time and when they do arrive, they just smile at you and say, "Hey sorry for being late!."
Anyways, here's a joke to lighten things up a bit.
I was working at the base exchange one busy day when the line grew quite long. There was much grumbling among those waiting, but one man made light of the situation. He approached a woman who was obviously very pregnant and tapped her on the shoulder. "Would you mind my asking a personal question?" he said. "Were you pregnant when you got in this line?"
haha

i always try to be on time whenever i need to meet someone. i hate being late and i hate people to wait for me. time is precious and so, i also hate to waste time waiting for someone who does not see the value of time.
i was supposed to meet a friend one day. and as always, i was there 10 or 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. i went around the mall to kill time. but she wasn't around after 30 minutes. thinking she might have been busy, i considered. and i waited. but after an hour of waiting, i decided to give her a call already. and it's when she confessed to me that she can't come due to some reasons i could not understand.
i felt so bad at her that i never texted nor called her for many weeks since then. she apologized and never did it again... anne

I would say i'm a very punctual person, but unfortunately most of my friends never be ontime for what they had promised.
One time,my friend Christine we had an appointment to meet at the hotel for tea.I was there five minutes earlier, and she turn up fourty minutes late....She will always have some thing to say about why she has been lated.I'm used to it,i know it's just an excuses.....although i didnt show my anger but i'm definately not happy with that....
Well some people just used to be late in their entire life, there's nothing you can do about it...Unless you don't want meet them anymore..:)

I am always punctual to anything. If by some chance I was running late I would phone the other person and let them know about how much longer. I would not have waited that long for anyone. 30 minutes tops for me!

I am always punctual. Not unless if the people I am about to meet are not. So I'll adjust to the kind of person I'm meeting with. If it's usually my first time to meet with that person, I always see to it that I arrived at the exact time we've decided to meet. It frustrates me to wait. I really have no patience waiting for someone. Geesh, It's really hard to deal with this kind of people you know but I just let my frustration pass and try to not spoil my day just because of it. ;)

I know its very annoying. And I do feel for you. I dont wait for people anymore. If they are not there when I arrive I will leave. There is no need for them to be late. Unless they call me and tell me they will be late. Then I will go at a later time.

I am always punctual. If I say meet me at 9, I am there at 9. I do not wait more than 30 minutes for someone I planned on meeting. It's just the way I am. If they say 9, I am gone before 9:30 if they aren't there or haven't called. Depending on the call and their excuse I may wait a bit to meet them. I am a stickler for being on time.

I am always punctual unless there are something that is totally our of my control. I waited for a friend long time ago for half an hour and I got extremely annoyed with her. We didn't have cell phone those days and I was wondering if she got into some kind of accident or something. When she arrived, I had to tell her right into her face that my time is just as precious as hers and if she keeps on acting like that, I won't even go out with her again. She listened and now she hated people being late too. I think you really need to talk to your friend seriously, why wasting your time on someone who doesn't value your time?

I hate it when this happens and i would be angry and i let them know it i dont like to muck around. They have a phone or cell and they have both my nimbers so they can ring and tell me they are going to be late if they dont i expect them to be there thats it. All my friends know that now and never let me down unless they have a good reason to.
