The star value indicate your popularity and involvement in mylot. You will get the first star when you reach your first 100 posts. It may vary from 1 to 10 depend on your performance. You can see a + and - sign beside every post in mylot.Through that every member is able to rate your posts,as you can do with others. Thus mylot rates the performance of members and reward you with a star.A better star value will get you more popularity and get more responses to your posts. Getting some best responses also help to increase the star value. You may also do the same with others, thus keep mylot more attractive.A star rating of 10 shows the best performance. And each time your rating may vary based on your posts. Also try to be more descriptive in discussions, which will help you to earn more , and also help you to get more attention.I've seen people starting from star 9 rating at their 100 posts, which means they are very good performers here , and i like to listen to their discussions.

They are your rating. After 100 posts your star will appear. On the sides of posts you will see a + and - siogns. those are to rates the posts as positive + or negative -. The rating average out and are seen in your star. 10 is a perfect rating, while 1 is the worst. Though some get so low they lose their star completely.
