It's ok to admit you read the first 6 books and will read the 7th book of this 'children's' series of books. Even though it is written that teens can comprehend it, and the main characters are students at a magical prep school, the stories and ideas are adult enough that anyone can enjoy them.
I am looking forward to both the movie and book coming out this summer, what about you?

I am not looking forward to it. Every time I see the movies, I think, who wants to be a wizard. You can't leave a pencil around, you have to nail it down or it will get up and walk away. They do not know how to dress properly and that game scribbage or what you call it, what if they fell off their brooms?" My husband is a Harry Potter fanatic and he ordered The Deadly Hallows when it first was announced and he has been saying, "so many ===days until it gets here" and has been checking at the website to see if, perhaps, they ship it early.

Oh, I definately admit to reading...and owning..all six books. Reading the seventh is a given!
I really don't think that there is much difference between enjoying these books and movies and the millions who enjoy Star Trek or Star Wars. They are all fantasies. That's the great thing about reading and watching movies, you get to take a break from everyday life and enjoy letting your imagination take over.
I originally read the first book when my stepson got it, and since then we've had this between us to discuss over the years. I will admit that I am now more addicted to them than he is though!

I haven't read the books but I have watched the movies. From watching the movies I've realized that I don't want to read the books as they just aren't my thing.
The movies are okay, they pass the time but it just doesn't do it for me. Granted most everyone loves the books and movies and hey more power to you, I'm glad you enjoy it.
For the Harry Potter fans out there (see there's nothing wrong with it) Universal Studios is opening a Harry Potter Theme Park in Florida in 2009 where you can experience the Harry Potter world. Complete with Hogwarts, and that back alley shopping place as well.
Minnie Mouse is HOT!

Yes, so do I, a somewhat advanced lady :). Because those are books that teach some value -friendship, loyalty, courage against evil, intelligence, human dignity-, in a way that makes one turn page after page in suspense.
I'm surely not ashamed of being a re-incidenting Harry Potter reader!

I love the books but I find the movie...mainly because Ron is not given his proper due in the movie. And yes I've read book 1-6 many times and is looking forward to read the 7th.
