Can shy guys get an ego when the girl they like is interested in them?

I have seen my one friend. she is interested in him but he is very shy type guy, he always says that he is just friend of her.. he has never seen her like that.. is it ego??

It will not be ego. But in my opinion he should straigt away express his attitude towards her. Due to shy he should not have done that. But as far as the girl concerned she should understand this from his behaviour and shoud do the needful for getting love from him, if she actually like so. Then he will come straightly.
