this is a question i have so long wanted to ask. do you still live with yours? i am 26 and i still with my folks. don't get me wrong, i have plans of moving out, but not yet this time. i'm financially incapable of living on my own. i'm still working my way through college. how about you? how old did you move out? what were your reason for staying or for moving out?

I do still live with my parents though i am now 25 when it comes in moving out i don't know when but i want to experience living alone and being independent. But may i ask is it wrong that you are still living with your parents in your age? That this age you should learn how to be independent and live on your own? Sometimes it do bothers me i feel that i am still a burden to my parents especially now that i am working.

i don't think it's wrong to still be living with your parents. i mean, i still have plans of moving out. but since i'm not financially capable of supporting my own, i have to depend on them. of course, in return, we should be good to them and not give them problems. right?

I don't "still" live with my parents. I moved out when I was 19.... and I've lived on my own for a long time. I'm just getting out of a 7 year relationship... or at least trying to figure out what I'm doing with this relationship... and my life in general... and I'm back home living with my parents. It's not pleasant... far from it. But at least I'm saving money.

that's sad. your family is the only one you have when everyone turns their back on you. remember, blood is thicker than water.

26 and still live with my family, of course I don't have a job and still studying but even if I were finantially indipendent I'd stay with my folks as long as possible. Why pay rent to a stranger when I can "pay" rent to my family? I mean they don't kick me out, if I want to go they let me go and I help them as soon as possible with money and everything, I love my family and I'm still indipendent we only have lunch and dinner together for the rest is like I'm living somewhere else... But maybe that's the way I am... Anyway I'd say try to become financially indipendent first and then if you want to go, go ;)

part of my not moving out is being practical. you have a point when you said "why pay rent to a stranger when you can pay rent to your family"...but the thing is, i don't pay my rent. :) it's a free load for me.

I believe we are in the same shoes. I'm also 26 years old still lives in my parents house. I don't see anything wrong with it, especially here in the Philippines. I do have plans of moving out, but not at the moment. Since I work in the same place they live, it would be waste of money to live in a separate house. I believe that right time for me to move out is when I have a family of my own, that's when I get married.

hey, we share the same thoughts. it's very convenient right? and it's a great way to earn money. coz you don't have to pay the rent. you only have to shell out whatever you can for the grocery and miscellaneous expenses. besides, my parents are not throwing me out of the house yet. :)

I'm turning 22 and I still live with my parents. I plan to move out when I'm 25, but due to some problems in school, I have to be delayed for a year before I graduate, so I'm moving my moving-out plans for another year.

Yep, that's what I'm doing right now. Also, I'm sure that even if I move out, my relationship with my family would still be the same ^_^

Hey chestel~! I'm 26 too and I don't live at home anymore. But that's because I'm studying at a different state from where my family is. I started moving out of the house when I was 20, I think. My mom still sends me money, but I'm trying to be more financially independent. I don't wanna depend on her anymore.

me too. if there was some way that i could be more independent (financially)...i would want to move out of the house. not because i don't love my parents, but because i want to experience things on my own.

Hi,
I live with my parents as they are depend on me and also that has become one of my duty that too with very well heart I like to look after and take care of them. I am here like this only because of them. They are becoming old and worsening of their health makes to give more support and care. I like to live with my parents and they too.
