What would you do if you see your own nude photos in Friendster?

Last week in the office, a rumor was making the rounds that an office mate's friend posted nudity in his Friendster account. Everybody got curious and visited the site. The guy indeed had pictures of him making out, lots of close up shots of his private part, and when I read his profile, it say there that he's a man-wh*re for hire. His mobile number was even posted there in case someone needs "his service". Most of the people who saw this was quick to judge that he might have lost his mind posting all those stuff there or he might be trying to get back at an ex-girlfriend. I thought about it well and realized that no one in his right mind would put himself in such an embarrassing situation especially if he's a reputable doctor. I came to the conclusion that maybe a furious ex-girlfriend who knew his password posted them in order to get back at him. I also noticed that the pictures didn't show the girl's face, and it's all the guy's face and his you-know-what all over. If this happened to you, what would you do? Please share your thoughts.

I would go crazy. I would immediately want to know who posted those pictures. There has to be a way to find out and then get them removed pronto! Then I would go after who ever posted those pictures and sue them for slander...or whatever else is included in such a lawsuit!

this will cetainly be a good move to make. the person who did that must learn his/her lesson, too. it is not wise to be playing with the feelings and reputation of others. what has transpired in one's private life, must be kept really private forever.

I will try my best to recover my dignity first at the office then I will try to remove the picture over the internet and talk to my ex to write an apology and explaination on friendster and spread it around.
Or else I will post her pictures on the net and that would be more discriminating...ofcourse its just a bluff I will forgive her in the end :)

I do agree with you that no one in his right mind would post something that could destroy his reputation. I bet an angry ex-girlfriend may have put it there. If I am the that person, I would certainly have it investigated so that whoever may have put it there would be made liable for his/her actions. It is the most malicious and demeaning thing that any person could do to another.

This is really embarrassng! But of course the first thing he has to do is deny and then go after the culprit. If his GF is the only one that knows his password then she's the only one who should pay for this great shame.

I myself would never do this, because I'm not that good looking. lol As for his guy it does sound like an ex or somebody that didn't lioke him did it. It may not even be his body.
If I was a close friend though i would call the number and ask for his services to see how he responded. He may not even know it's up there. If he does then let the subject drop.

let us all learn our lesson from this story. never to let anyone in into our private accounts. also, there is a need for all of us to change our keyphrases for these accounts once in a while. yes, that is a very embarassing situation. that doctor-friend of yours must have tasted his share of hell himself. you are thinking right. it is impossible that the guy is for hire as he is a doctor by profession and we all know how well respected they are in our community.

Hello steney. I would be absolutely livid should something like this happened to me. I have actually heard of similar incident somewhere but can't remember which site it was.
The members who posted their comments are really the ignorant parties. They can't know if this guy intentionally exploited himself or was abused by another member (ex-GF). Whichever is the real reason, the damage was done already and the guy have nothing but to take the necessary actions.
It is better to contact the Friendster admin immediately to block his account right away. There will be a lot of digging needed to do in order to check out the real culprit behind all this fiasco. I feel sorry for the guy though. No one likes to be placed in his shoes.

I would never let myself in that predictament. It's kind of funny though. I think that is the risk you take if you have pics of yourself like that. If this happened to me and in my work place... I would quit and move out of town and change my cell phone number too! I feel more like "Poor guy!"

Ohhh my, I hope it would not happen to me. I can't imagine my body being exposed at a public site like friendster. If this happen to me I'm sure we'll just see each other inside the court of justice.
You're right, the person who posted that pictures lost his mind.
If that person's not an ex-girlfriend maybe he/she is someone who's envy with him and would like to put his reputation down.

things like this won't be dispersed easily. The more you try to clear your name with the people whom you're close with, the more guilt will be pressed against you. As my male friends used tp say, 'the 11th commandment, if caught red-handed, deny, deny, and deny.' if this will happen to me, i'll be affected of course, angry for sure. i will act as if nothing happens, anyway, with the photo-editing tech nowadays, somehow, you'll be somewhat relieved just by using 'this is not me really' as an excuse . the pictures are already there and even if deleted anywhere in the web, you can't make people change the images of you in their minds (they might have grabbed a copy of it). some things you can do: deny. move on. for the gossippers, let them talk.

I think you can report that to the incharge of the site.
Maybe stupid guys love to do that. I am sure his account will be closed if ever he will be caught.

Well for one I would never post naked pics of myself online but there are some that do. If something like that ever happened to me I would find out who did it and have them charged with something and if I was told there was not enough proof I would just get the person back.

i would definitely sue the one who's responsible for that after all, the person was the one who damaged his reputation so i guess it's his rights to sue that person
