I always thought I would never be able to teach my chid to drive yet now I am doing it and it isn't so bad. I didn't think I would be the right person because I thought I would be too jumpy however now that she has driven with her dad and with me it is clear he is not the one to teach her it has to be me. She is also taking drivers ed but she has to wait another month for drive time with the class so I have been taking her out. I haven't paniced once which is good. Her dad on the other hand panics way too much. He can't even be in the back seat if she is driving because instead of calmly explaining something he bursts out a look out or what the heck are you doing. So it would seem that yes I can teach my children to drive. Did you teach your child or did you have someone else teach them?

I had 3 children and all of them learned to drive without my help. I was so scared that I would make them so scared by being scared that they would have an accident. My husband and I made a deal years ago. I take the dirty diapers and he deals with the teen issues. Worked out great for us. All my children drive well.

I was the one to teach both of my sons how to drive. They both took drivers ed. in school but they knew all of the basics and even had some time practicing how to drive before they started the class. I found it to be a wonderful experience to have with my sons. I will also be the one to teach my fiancee children as well.

I have had 6 kids learn to drive. I would never start them $ get their start in drivers training at school. After they got their start I would give them the pratice of driveing. I lived out there in Scottsbluff when My 4 kids were learning to drive and since there is not that much traffic it was rather easy on the nerves. When I had to let my 2 gradchildren learn they had to take driving lesson from a school. It cost $200.They had to take the class regardless whether it was in school or not and it cost the same ether way. any way Out here in South Carolina there is a lot more traffic and harderon the nerves since part of the driving toke place on the interstate. We had an interesting time of it to say the least.
